Taru is an established, Yorkshire based actor with a wealth of experience in performing, performance making and teaching. She originally trained as a dancer at The Laban Centre, London, UK then in acting at BSSD, Birmingham, UK and subsequently with Scott Kelman, Portland, USA. She combines her freelance performance work with being co-Artistic Director of The Kelman Group.
A creative and intelligent performer, the outcomes of her work are as diverse as children's theatre and live art; as number one venues and rural touring, but all stem from the same place, Taru's skill in devising and conceiving performance and her commitment to being serious about having fun.
